The Boardroom Primer is one of the early initiatives supporting the implementation of Initiative E14, AI-Aware Stewardship, under AI Nation 2030. It translates the strategic direction of AI Nation 2030 into practical guidance for boards to oversee AI adoption responsibly.

The Boardroom Primer is organised into four chapters covering:

• Understanding AI fundamentals;
• Key considerations before adopting AI systems;
• AI governance and organisational oversight; and
• Board AI readiness through a maturity assessment to identify gaps and prioritise improvement.
