Exploring insightful articles and collaborative partnership that shape advancements
The Malaysia Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (MYCentre4IR) was established in partnership between the Government of Malaysia and the World Economic Forum (WEF), hosted by MyDIGITAL Corporation. It serves as a neutral multi-stakeholder platform for policymakers, business leaders, academics, and experts to come together and develop policies, frameworks, toolkits to drive conversations in frontier technologies and support its development and adoption in Malaysia.
As a strategic partner to NAIO, MYCentre4IR will facilitate access to international experts from the WEF network. It will also support NAIO’s international partnership and ecosystem development efforts along with co-development of thought leadership publications.
This report was launched by the MYCentre4IR in collaboration with Access Partnership and Microsoft. It seeks to provide early insights and raise awareness of the economic opportunities that generative AI can create, and what it means for local industries and workforce readiness. This report also provides for consideration a framework of recommendations to drive AI use.
This paper was written in collaboration between ISIS Malaysia, MYCentre4IR and Microsoft. It charts Malaysia’s journey in developing how the country governs AI and dissects its progress through the lens of the country’s ecosystem, institutions and legal mechanisms. The Future of Malaysia’s AI Governance Whitepaper ends with recommendations for establishing specialised institutions and enhancing policy or legislative mechanisms.
