The Malaysia Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (MYCentre4IR) was established in 2023 and is a partnership between the Malaysian government and the World Economic Forum (WEF). It brings together policymakers, business leaders, and experts to develop policies for advancing frontier technologies in Malaysia. As a strategic partner to NAIO, MYCentre4IR will connect NAIO with global WEF experts, support international partnerships, and co-develop thought leadership publications.
TalentCorp is Malaysia's national agency focused on talent development and workforce transformation. It bridges talent gaps by attracting, nurturing, and retaining skilled professionals, especially in critical sectors. Through strategic programs, TalentCorp supports career development, promotes workforce inclusivity, and drives the nation's human capital growth in line with economic goals.
This report was launched by the MYCentre4IR in collaboration with Access Partnership and Microsoft. It seeks to provide early insights and raise awareness of the economic opportunities that generative AI can create, and what it means for local industries and workforce readiness. This report also provides for consideration a framework of recommendations to drive AI use.
