The National AI Nation Plan 2026-2030 is Malaysia's AI implementation roadmap aimed at positioning Malaysia as an AI Nation by accelerating the responsible adoption, development and governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the economy, government and society.
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming a key driver of economic competitiveness, productivity and innovation. AI Nation 2030 ensures Malaysia is prepared not only to adopt AI, but to build national capabilities, strengthen trusted AI governance and develop globally competitive "Made by Malaysia" AI solutions.
The vision of the AI Nation 2030 is to realise an Inclusive and Sustainable AI Nation. It seeks to ensure that Artificial Intelligence is adopted responsibly to strengthen national competitiveness, support sustainability, and encourage local innovation and production. This vision recognises that technological progress must be balanced with trust, effective governance, and positive societal outcomes. AI adoption is therefore not an end in itself but a means to deliver inclusive growth, national resilience, and long-term value for Malaysia.
The mission of AI Nation 2030 is to deploy AI systematically across Government, Business, and the Rakyat translating technological capability into tangible and measurable benefits.
This mission reinforces a whole-of-nation approach, ensuring that AI deployment is demand-led, impact focused, and aligned with real needs.
